Led by founder Fabian Ortega and later joined by Carlos Echeverría, TeHer – The Art Rug Company – grew out of a long-standing love for art and collecting. We have been weaving with Himalayan ateliers since 2017, and working from a house of our own since 2023, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that blend timeless tradition with bold contemporary design.
Our journey has taken us along the Silk Road and beyond—through Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, India and Mali—connecting with extraordinary artisans whose dedication, skill, and cultural heritage inspire every creation. We honor centuries of artistry while pushing boundaries through modern expression.
