Pablo Siquier
Architectures of Abstraction, Handwoven
TeHer Art Rugs is honored to unveil a singular rug collaboration with celebrated Argentine artist Pablo Siquier, whose practice is rooted in a meticulous exploration of geometry, architectural mapping, and visual systems. Known for his bold, large-scale compositions that evoke both digital precision and urban complexity, Siquier brings his unique artistic language into the world of textile for the first time.
To faithfully capture the intricate detail and layered precision of Siquier’s design, this piece was crafted using a 150-knot-per-inch technique—a level of fineness that allows for extraordinary clarity and definition. Hand-knotted in Nepal by TeHer’s master artisans, the rug combines Himalayan wool and bamboo silk, materials chosen for their luster, strength, and ability to hold line and contrast with sculptural depth.
The result is not just a rug, but a woven drawing—a sculptural surface that transforms Siquier’s abstract architectural grammar into a tactile experience. Each knot is a testament to the artist’s conceptual rigor and the artisan’s technical mastery, fusing contemporary vision with ancient craft.
This one-of-a-kind piece exemplifies TeHer’s mission: to create heirloom-quality textile art through intimate collaborations with some of the world’s most visionary artists. In this dialogue between form and fiber, Pablo Siquier’s work lives and breathes beneath your feet—anchored in structure, alive with meaning.
