Neutral Shapes

Soft arches and ovals overlap in layered neutrals, each form outlined by a carved channel. Nothing in it is a straight line, which is precisely why it settles a room full of hard edges.

Biomorphic abstraction — the curve that suggests a body, a stone, a leaf, without naming any of them — gave mid-century design an alternative to the grid. It is the shape language of the moulded chair and the kidney table, and it does the same work here: it makes a rectilinear room feel inhabited.

Hand-knotted in Kathmandu on a Tibetan loom, where a continuous yarn is looped around a gauge rod and cut row by row to release the pile. Graded 60, 80 or 100 knot on the Nepali trade's standard scale. Himalayan wool, over 1,400 colours. Made to order in 12 to 16 weeks in production, in your size, your palette and your pile height — every piece woven new, for one interior only.
