Radiant Spiral Grey

A spiral at the centre, rays reaching out to the edge, in greys that stay almost silent. It draws the eye down and holds it — the one thing in a room that rewards standing still.

The spiral is arguably the oldest ornament humans make: it appears carved into stone thousands of years before it appears on anything else, in cultures that never met. Whatever it meant, it has never stopped being legible. Drawn at floor scale and in a single family of greys, it reads as pure movement.

Hand-knotted in Kathmandu on a Tibetan loom, where a continuous yarn is looped around a gauge rod and cut row by row to release the pile. Graded 60, 80 or 100 knot on the Nepali trade's standard scale. Himalayan wool, over 1,400 colours. Made to order in 12 to 16 weeks in production, in your size, your palette and your pile height — every piece woven new, for one interior only.
